Kind of patent documents on the Publication Server of OSIM - according to WIPO standards
The following patent documents kind are published by OSIM on this Publication Server: A0 = Patent application published within 18 month after the filing or priority date or within 6 month after entering the national phase;A1 = Patent application published with a search report;
A2 = Patent application published without a search report;
A3 = Separate publication of the search report for a previously published patent application;
A4 = Patent application published within 3 month after becoming declassified;
A8 = Patent application Witt corrected first page;
A9 = Patent application with corrected search report or republished search report, description, claims and/or drawings initially filed or claims and/or drawings modified after initial filing .
B1 = Patent specification;
B2 = Patent specification amended after opposition;
B8 = Patent specification with corrected first page;
B9 = Patent specification with corrected description, claims, and/or drawings.
U1 = Utility model certificate published with the search report;
U2 = Utility model certificate published without a search report;
U3 = Search report published separately after publication of utility model certificate;
U4 = Search report published separately with modified claims (requested by third parties);
U8 = Utility model with corrected first page;
U9 = Utility model with corrected search report or republished search report, description, claims and/or drawings initially filed, or modified claims.
Updates on the Publication Server of OSIM
The publication Server of OSIM is updated monthly. As a general rule updates take place on the date of publication of the Official Gazette, or under special circumstances, on the first working day following the publication date.Search criteria, syntax
Search on the Publication Server can be performed using the criteria described below. There is also included the syntax to be used when writing criteria:-
· Publication number: syntax : "Country code" + space (use space stroke on the keyboard) + "Publication number".
Individual Publication number search:
- The space ( ) between the two terms ("Country code" and "Publication number") is optional.
- Examples:
a. "Country code" + "Publication number":
b. "Country code" + space + "Publication number":
More Publication numbers search:
- The space ( ) between the two terms ("Country code" and "Publication number") is obligatory.
- Search operator 'or' is optional.
- Examples:

· Application number: syntax: "Country code" + space + "Application number".

More Application numbers search:
- The space ( ) between the two terms ("Country code" and "Application number") is obligatory.
- Search operator 'or' is optional.
- Examples:

IPC symbol: syntax: as published on the patent document (e.g. A01B 45/02 or C07C 110/43).
- Search can be performed on a single IPC symbol
- you may use truncation (e.g. A01B or C07C 110) -

- Kind codes of publication: you may choose between selecting all kind codes or minimum one.

On the Publication Server of OSIM the patent documents are available in the following formats:- XML
- ZIP (the archive contains files as XML, TIF and PDF)
