Publication Server - OSIM
According to Patent Law no. 64/ 1991 (as republished in 2007) , Law of Utility Models no. 350/2007 , Dec. of Gov. no. 573/1998 modified by Dec. of Gov. no. 1396/2009 statutory documents for the functioning of the institution, the State Office for Inventions and Trademarks - OSIM has the legal obligation to publish patent documents.
Starting with
1 February 2011, by launching into production of the
Publication Server, OSIM makes available to the public an electronic official means to access patent documents such as (codified according to WIPO ST. 16):
- patent application and search report: A0, A1, A2, A3, A4, A8, A9;
- granted patents: B1, B2, B8, B9;
- utility models and search reports: U1, U2, U3, U4, U8, U9.
Browsing through this server is quite straight forward, there is no user authentication and the search criteria are reduced to: publication number, application number, IPC symbol allowing the possibility to refine the search using the fields: publication date and/or publication kind code.
This Publication Server will be updated monthly on the publication date of the Official Gazette / BOPI, Patents Section, usually at the end of the publication month.
